About Brittan
Brittan is a Clinical Social Worker in Utah with a diverse background in healthcare and health promotion. She began her career as a Registered Dietitian before moving into clinical research and healthcare administration, gaining broad experience supporting people’s well-being from multiple perspectives. Through this work, Brittan has developed a strong belief that individuals hold more strength and resilience than they often realize. When people learn to access that inner power, they can create meaningful, lasting change and build lives grounded in purpose and fulfillment.
Brittan’s Philosophy
As a therapist, Brittan believes that each client is the expert in their own life. She works to access that insight through honest, genuine connection and open conversation. Using a strengths-based approach, Brittan incorporates humor and her professional experience to help clients recognize what is already working well in their lives and identify areas where they would like to create change. In addition, Brittan’s experience in healthcare also allows her to support medical and allied health professionals navigate the unique stresses of working in medicine.
Brittan works with people navigating mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, body image and distorted eating, stress, grief and loss, life transitions and chronic pain and illness. She uses evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the Gottman Method in her treatment approach. Brittan focuses on practical steps clients can take from day one to make changes that align to their values.
In her free time Brittan owns a small urban farm in the 9th and 9th neighborhood of Salt Lake City, where her passion is growing cut flowers. She loves spending time with family and friends, as well as her basset hounds, cats, grumpy hedgehog, and four pet ducks. She enjoys walking in the beautiful Utah mountains, reading, gardening, and doing Pilates.
